About Us

Where to start, hmmmm...

Well let's see, Tammy and I are both Minnesota natives having been born and raised there.  As has been more and more common in Minnesota for years now both Tammy and I grew up in what is sometimes called "out state Minnesota" and moved to the Minneapolis/Saint Paul area to establish our careers which is where we met after a few years.

We originally met in 2001, though at the time we didn't think much of each other but as fate would have it we ended up being roommates and in time something more.  In 2003 Tammy got a job offer near Coeur d'Alene, Idaho that we couldn't refuse and thus began our great journey.  Since then we've been bouncing around the Pacific Northwest searching for the right combination of job stability, job challenge, and leisure time fun.  From Coeur d'Alene to Sand Point, ID to Portland and now Seattle hopefully for a good long stay.  (It's a lot more complicated than that but for the sake of a happy little short story we had to leave out a few things...)  Check out the map below to see where we've ended up, for now...

The two of us are both very technology driven being computer professionals and a bunch more.  Tammy is a software developer/engineer while I am a computer technician/videographer.  Whether at work or play there's always a cool little gadget of some sort not far away.

In our free time we like to get out in nature as much as possible which frequently involves taking one of our Jeeps out in the mountains to the end of some trail or forest road then hiking from there taking nature pictures and rock hounding along the way.  Our other favorite past time is boating, from kayaking to taking our 25' Trophy out for a cruise boating really extends our horizons, especially now that we live within a few minutes of the Puget Sound and have a sea worthy boat.  There's really something to be said about being out on the water and looking to the horizon where the sea and air meet.

Just as we take our Jeeps and off road driving seriously we also taking our boating seriously and are both members of the Coast Guard Auxiliary which really takes boating to a whole different level and combines many of our skills and interests in a very rewarding way to give back to the community.

On the upper section of the Seattle-Tacoma map you will see a house icon where we live and a little to the west in Edmonds a boat icon where we keep our boat and where our USCG Aux flotilla meets and typically carries out its orders.
