Boating & Us
.jpg)
We got our first boat together when
we had our house on Lake Coeur d'Alene in north Idaho and had fun
exploring the lake and fishing but we wanted something more out of
boating. It wasn't long before we found the Coast Guard Auxiliary
and a new purpose in boating. We were without a boat while we
lived in the Portland area however it did not keep us away from the
Auxiliary.
Once we moved to Seattle and the Puget Sound it was not long before
we bought another boat, but this time we bought our boat with our USCGA
duties and desires in mind. As of yet she does not have a name but
she is shown in the picture above, moored at our slip in the Edmonds
marina. She is a 25' 1995 Bayliner Trophy with twin Mercury 175hp
outboards. She was a seaworthy sport fishing boat used for island
hopping before we acquired her. We're still in the process of out
fitting her for Auxiliary duty but when she's ready she will be the
fastest boat in the flotilla.
These days we most of our time we spend on the water is under USCGA
orders but we do still get out for some pleasure boating from time to
time...
