Our Fishes (Finnius Multiplicus)

Both Tammy and I have been fish enthusiasts most of our lives. Once we'd settled into our home in Idaho it was a short time before we setup our first fish tank.

Tammy had been particularly fond of livebearers so we started a tank with some Swordtails, Platys, Mollies, and Guppies. It didn't take long before I discovered the joys of this branch of the hobby when our fish started having their first broods of young.

Its so neat to watch them grow and see the colors they develop. Addicted we added some rarer breeds and with continued success we added a second tank. We've been so successful that we've even began selling fish to the local pet shops.

Lately for an added twist we've decided to go with live plants, no fakes.  It's amazing at how much more complex a chore it is to keep a tank balanced with live plants but it is very well worth it as the fish are much happier and act much more naturally.
