I took this picture of South Dakota's Badlands National Park on my very first vacation outside Minnesota in 1996.		I found this cozy looking little spot on that same trip.

I took this and the next six pictures on my second vacation to South Dakota and Wyoming in 1997. Mount Rushmore in South Dakota's Black Hills.		Our next stop had us camping in the shadows of Devils Tower in Wyoming. Ever since I saw the movie "Close Encounters" as a child I knew I had to go there...

The next day my friend Jerry and I climbed freehand almost half way up Devils Tower. The view was so worth it!		Two days travel later we arrived in Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. This pool is on the south shore of Yellowstone Lake.

This is Glory Pool and is in the same valley as Old Faithful.		My favorite shot of the formations at Mammoth Hot Springs.
