That summer we drove back to Minnesota to visit friends and family. On the return trip we stopped at Badlands National Park in South Dakota. June 2004		Having 4wd for the first time visiting the park we were able to explore the back country trails.

The Badlands of South Dakota are one of my most favorite places.		Vultures looking for their next meal.

Our trustworthy Jeep Grand Cherokee on its first road trip.		The backcountry is very peaceful since very few of the parks visitors have the vehicle or the driving skills needed to get there.
