Coldwater Lake seen in the above photo was formed when debris from the 1980 eruption blocked a small stream. The once beautiful Spirit Lake which is not that far away is still covered by logs that were downed during the eruption and is mostly a dead body of water.		In December of 2005 we headed south to visit Tammy's parents and their winter home in Mesa, Arizona. The above photo is of some dried gourds in California's Joshua Tree National Park.
